Celebrating its 35th season, the Cape Breton Chorale will present its thirty-sixth consecutive Christmas concert on Sunday, December 7 at 3:00 p.m. in St Andrew's Church, Bentinck Street, Sydney, NS. Many consider the Chorale's Christmas presentation as the kick-off of the holiday season and it continues to draw appreciative audiences - sometimes in apalling weather. The accompanying photo shows the 1974 Chorale in warm-up rehearsal at Sydney CJCB-TV studios prior to a Christmas TV presentation. Six of the twenty-four members in this photo will take part in this year's concert.

Entitled "Sing Gloria", this year's presentation will feature "Glorias" by Vivaldi, Rutter and others in an eclectic mix of sacred and secular Christmas favourites - some familiar to the ear and some in new and different arrangements. As usual, the audience will be asked to join the Chorale in celebrating this glorious time of year with a selection of well-known carols.

Tickets will be available at the door and from Chorale members - Adults $12.00 and Seniors and Students $10.00.  Children under twelve may attend at no charge and their attendance is strongly encouraged.
