From his beginnings in Glace Bay as a piano and voice student with Marguerite MacDougall to the stages of London and beyond with such luminaires as Andrew Lloyd Webber, Andy Williams, Riverdance’s Bill Whelan and Mel Brooks, Stuart Calvert’s musical journey from the Canada’s East Coast to London’s West End is nothing short of exhilarating. Still, the internationally celebrated conductor, orchestrator and arranger has never forgotten his roots. Calvert has created countless scores for the Cape Breton Orchestra and The Cape Breton Chorale.
